With the holiday season upon us, the December issue of “The Vine” celebrates Houweling’s plans to build a new greenhouse in Utah. The project will provide fresh local tomatoes, help reduce freight shipments of produce and our greenhouses will use the waste heat and CO2 generated from a local facility. We hope to rectify the lack of local tomatoes in Utah and we are very excited for our next greenhouse location.
Also, learn how we are connecting with our local community, retrofitting one of our Camarillo greenhouses to increase cucumber production and how we are recognizing our employee’s commitment to safety.
