The Houweling’s Hothouse Group is a leading North American greenhouse operator with facilities in Oxnard, California and Delta, British Columbia.  We grow a broad line of premium, hydroponically grown tomatoes and cucumbers on a year round basis.  In addition to growing fresh greenhouse products, we also operate a plant propagation division that grows “starter plants” for all varieties of greenhouse grown products.  At Houweling’s we have a history of innovating the craft of growing greenhouse grown vegetables that has truly left its mark on the industry.  Most recently, we opened a new facility in Oxnard that utilizes state of the art, proprietary technolog including a closed structure which minimizes pest pressures, solar energy and thermal heat collecting mechanism to provide sustainable/green energy and heat, as well as a water recirculation system which recaptures/filters/re-circulates all water.

The Oxnard facility is exclusively dedicated to growing hydroponically grown greenhouse vegetables. and with the principle crops being Tomatoes on the Vine, Beefsteak Tomatoes and a number of Specialty Vine varieties.

The Oxnard facility also grows a limited supply of Cucumber products.

The Delta facility has two divisions, hot house Vegetables and Propagation.  The Vegetable division principally grows vine tomatoes. The Propagation division grows “starter plants” for all varieties of hot house vegetable crops including Beefsteak tomatoes, Tomatoes on the Vine, Sweet Bell Peppers and Cucumbers.

The craft of propagating hot house vegetable seedlings arose from the need to source young plants for our own needs and has grown into a business that supplies growers across North America.  Working closely with the growers, each seed is sown and developed precisely to their unique crop requirements
